Description

This module will provide a broad introduction to coastal hydrodynamics, including but not limited to, linear wave theory, shallow water waves, wave breaking/overtopping, wave forces on coastal structures and wave simulation. In addition, the course will cover relevant aspects of coastal design and protection. The module introduces state-of-the-art concepts and modelling and design techniques. The course comprises a combination of lectures, tutorials, lab works and design studies.
